12 Skin Care Resolutions to Glow-up in 2022

Ahhh, the week between Christmas and the New Year. A time to relax, a time to reflect, and a time to gorge yourself on all those delicious leftover holiday goodies. 😜 It’s not uncommon for people to reflect on the past year and begin making big plans for the new one with lots of goal-setting, resolutions, and hopes for the new year. Instead of resolving to go to the gym every day or eat less chocolate, (we both know that’s not going to happen) let’s make a pact to actually follow through with some simple resolutions to help get your skin healthier and glowing brighter than the twinkle lights still decorating your tree. ✨ We’ve picked out 12 simple things you can do to better your skin this year. Here are 12 simple skincare resolutions to glow-up in 2022.

1. Remove makeup daily.

That’s right. It seems so simple yet so many of us are guilty of not removing our makeup before bed. 2. Double-cleanse.

3. Moisturize.

Follow-up your daily cleansing routine with a moisturizer to help lock in the moisture that your skin so badly craves. Moisturizer creates a barrier to help protect your skin from the elements. The general rule of thumb is to choose a gel-based moisturizer for oily skin, cream o lotion for combination skin and oil or cream-based for dry skin.  

4. Always wear SPF.

Whether is June or January, the sun’s rays can damage your skin. Make sure to apply an SPF of 30 or higher every morning to help fight premature skin aging and sun damage. To cut down on products and simplify your routine, many moisturizers include SPF, just make sure the level is high enough to protect your skin. 

5. Wash pillowcases regularly.
