Valentine’s Day can be a hard time of year if you’re single or have recently ended a relationship. Everyone can relate to this break-up song whether you’re going through one now or just reminiscing about the one who broke your heart years ago. It’s the perfect song to scream sing in your car on your way to a Girl’s Night Out with your friends.

Rom Coms 🎞️

Hard to avoid leading up to Valentine’s Day and oh so loveably predictable. Rom Coms are the Hallmark Christmas movies of February where you know the two leading characters are going to get together in the end but you still want to watch and see how it all unfolds. Tonight we’re cuddling up with a hot herbal infusion and watching our favorite stars fall in love. Which romantic comedy is your favorite? 

Current craving 

Chocolate 🍫

It’s the stereotypical gift of Valentine’s Day…that heart-shaped box of chocolates that Forrest Gump so famously compares life to. Chocolate boosts the chemical transmitters in our brain that make us feel happy and calm but it isn’t always the best for our skin health. Full of dairy and sugar, chocolate can aggravate skin and cause unwanted blemishes. If you’re a chocolate lover like us, but you’re worried about a post-V-day breakout, stick to dark chocolate which has less dairy and sugar than other types, or even better try the superfood raw cacao nibs which are packed with vitamins that are beneficial for your skin.

Champagne with fresh berries or Berry Mocktail

We love the bubbles and burst of berry flavor by tossing a few fresh strawberries or raspberries in our favorite glass of champagne, but if your dry January turned into sober February then try this Sparkling Berry Mocktail instead!

Sparkling Berry Mocktail (serves 2)

You need:

  • 2 fresh strawberries
  • 10 fresh raspberries
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 can cold sparkling water of your choice

Muddle the berries and sugar together until you get a paste-like jam and add evenly to the bottom of each champagne flute. Pour the sparkling water over top and garnish with a fresh berry. Enjoy!

Trick to try 

DIY Honey Sugar Lip Scrub 👄

You need:

  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 2-3 drops essential oil of choice (optional)

Stir ingredients together and massage the mixture into your lips, then leave for 10-15 minutes.

Remove with the help of a wet 100% cotton wipe. Your sweet smackers will be smooth and ready for action in no time! 😉😘
