September Faves

New Monthly Faves!

Leaves falling, crisp air, bonfires, and pumpkin spice galore...it’s officially Fall! And with the new season, we’d like to present a new monthly installment with a few of our favorite things. (raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens didn’t make the list but apple strudel sure did!) Check out our September favorites and leave us a comment on social media sharing your own current obsessions!

What we’re listening to

Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran

We’re loving the newest single by Ed Sheeran which makes us all self-reflect on our own bad habits. **Psst: This is your reminder to drink more water, take off your makeup, and moisturize before bed! 💧

What we’re reading

Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney

With a title like that it’s fitting for back-to-school season, but the innocent children’s playground game is far from the new thriller by Alice Feeney, but just what we need to cozy up with for the start of fall. The fictional story follows a married couple to the Scotland highlands on their 10th wedding anniversary with plenty of twists and turns to keep us intrigued and on the edge of our seats.

What we’re smelling

Autumn leaves and apple cider. Real or candle scented. 😉

Currently craving

Julie Andrews knew what she was singing about in The Sound of Music. 🎶 Apple Strudel hits the spot as our current craving for September and one of our favorite things. Apples are in season which means there are endless varieties to choose from at your local farmer’s market or corner grocery store, but we’re partial to a tart apple like Granny Smith or Fuji. 🍏

What we’re sipping

Hot Apple Cider. We’re partial to the homemade kind, but if that’s too much work then grab a jug from your local grocery store. (Ok, who are we kidding?...that’s way too much work!) 😅🍎

Latest beauty obsession

KubWipes Mini Box of course! 😊The 10 wipe Mini Box is the perfect size to grab and go for makeup removal, facial cleansing, sweat absorption or a handy cloth for messes whenever you need it. Throw one in your purse, another in your gym bag, and keep another in your car. You’ll never be left without a clean, soft, and disposable cloth again.

Weekend plans

September is the perfect time to get out in nature and go apple picking or take a hike with family and friends. Find a pick your own fruit farm near you or take an easy walk and enjoy the scents of the season. Use the app Wikiloc to find trails for all levels near you, then finish off your nature day with a cozy backyard bonfire complete with apple cider and homemade apple strudel!

Monthly mantra

“Back to basics.”

Beauty routine. Workout routine. Wardrobe. Meal planning. Pick one and simplify. Life doesn’t need to be complicated and your routines shouldn’t be either.

Fun fact

There are more than 7,500 varieties of apples in the world. 😮 That’s a lot of apples! Kuby’s favorite are Pink Lady apples. What are yours? 🍎🍏

Trick to try

Use your KubWipes to make DIY clothing fresheners to freshen up your closet this season and spruce up those scarves and sweaters that have been in storage. Check out our blog post here to learn how to do it!
